Great Ocean Road

Headed off south towards Victoria as most everything was in order, for the moment anyway. Will have to come back this way at some point.

Stopped at Kyffins Res on Lake Mulwala then on to see Brian at Nagambie and camped in his front yard. We had a lovely meal and bored the girls reminiscing about old workmates and where are they now type discussions.  He tells us they are selling and moving to Melbourne. Most everyone else is doing the reverse. Go figure.

Ballarat, Bendigo and on to Warrnambool mostly stopping in caravan parks. Hard not to run a critical eye over someone else's business when you've been in the game for seven years. Also hard to find parks that accept dogs? Dogs are good its kids that cause trouble.

Headed down the Great Ocean Road. A great drive, with unimpeded view, sitting up high in a motor home. Stopped at Werribee South to check out the park that Les stops at when in Melbourne.

Good Bye

We met our staff and friends at Morundah Pub for a farewell dinner, an emotional but good night. Camping the night at the Morundah 'Country Club' a park on the Colombo Creek, named by the locals. Then the next night over to Uranquinty for dinner with my brother Ged and his wife Jenny. Trish drove our Hilux Ute over to Brad at Adelong and we camped in the CP there. He is selling it for us. Then back to Wagga for more legal stuff free camping at Piper Res on the Murrumbidgee. Working through it bit by bit but should be free soon.

SOLD! Settlement 15th March 2010

Wow! Sometimes you just don't believe it will actually happen but its SOLD! Settlement on the 15th and we were homeless and aimless heading down the road to who knows where that same day. Still a bit to do like legal and financial stuff but its all happening.

The new owners were keen to take over and suggested we should go. Originally they had negotiated us staying for a week after settlement but now have show us the door. So off to the Leeton CP for the night.  Strange feeling for both of us. That was 7 years of our lives back there and now its gone?
